Overall Report for Robotics CCA Sessions

24th July 2002

Today, our Robotics lesson was cancelled because our
teacher, Miss Loh, had a bad toothache. We all sighed and felt
disappointed because we don't have any robotics today.

31st July 2002

On 31st July 2002,we had our lunch in school. While
waiting for our teacher we played for a while. When our
teacher, Miss Loh, came we rushed to take our bags. We went
in the lab and found a place to seat. She told us that she had a
meeting to attend and asked us to work on what we are
assigned to do. Lee Wei Rong was assigned to work on the
journal, Kurtz Chua was assigned to work on the construction,
Jenna Tan was assigned to design the webpage, Ellise Lim was
assigned to do the programming and Tan Yan Han was
assigned to work on the research. After she had gone to her
meeting, we all discussed how should the mission go. Miss Loh
told us to lock the door of the computer lab where we worked
in. When we go home we locked the door and all of us went
home.

7th August 2002

    Today, Miss Loh changed the time for the lesson on
Wednesday. It was changed from 1.45pm to 12.45 pm. When
it was 12.45pm Miss Loh came and opened the door for us. We
went in and took our seat and started on our work straight
away. Ashleigh and Wei Rong sat side by side and started on
their work. Jenna and Estella found Macromedia
Dreamweaver very complicated and difficult to use. Miss Loh
instructed Jenna and Estella to use SiteCentral instead of
Macromedia Dreamweaver to design the website, as
Macromedia Dreamweaver is a more complicated program
than SiteCentral.

     The SiteCentral disc was stored in Lab 3 and Miss Loh had
to get the keys to the Lab to retrieve the disc. The
SiteCentral program was then installed in the computers in Lab
2.

     Then Jenna and Estella started working on the website.
In the beginning, Estella was not familiar with the program and
Jenna had to teach her the basic steps.

     After creating the homepage, an error message appeared
on the screen and Jenna had to call for Miss Loh.   The
computer hanged and there was no way the homepage could be
saved.   Jenna had to start creating the whole website all over
again.

     Before long, it was time to go home. Jenna had to wait until
coming Wednesday to re-create the website.

14th August 2002

Today, it was still the same time as last week. We waited for
Miss Loh to open the door. This time she was late. She opened
the door and let us in. We on the computer and started on our
work. Miss Loh said that she had a meeting to attend. She
asked Wei Rong to follow her to see Yan Han's journal and
Ellise's journal, Wei Rong took the journal back to the lab to
look at it. Wei Rong and Ashleigh continued to work on the
journals. At about 3.45pm Ashleigh finished his journal. Jenna
asked all the group members to type about themselves on the
webpage. Soon it was 4.05pm, Miss Loh asked us to stop all
our work and pack all the things into different boxes. We
turned off the air-con and checked that everything is off, got
out and locked the door and all of us went home.

Overall Report for Robotics Training Sessions

20th July 2002

Saturday has come we all waited outside the computer lab
where we are going to work in for the rest of the day.
When our teacher came we all waited for her to open the
door. When we got in our teacher told us to seat with our
group members. Our trainer was, Mr. Chang, Today he
said that we were all going to learn how to create a
website we all thought that it was great to create a
website on our own. He said that we are going to use the
Macromedia Dreamweaver. When Kurtz Chua said that
what are we going to do today. Our Trainer said that we
are only going to do webpage designing we all felt sad. We
all thought that it was interesting but it turned out to be
boring.

27th July 2002

Today, we all have to wake up early again. We waited for
Miss Loh and our trainer, they finally came. We went in and sat
down on the chair. We switched on the computer and faced Mr.
Chang and he went through what we have learnt last week he
also said that it was the end of learning the Macromedia
Dreamweaver we felt happy because it was the end of the
lesson on designing a webpage. We learnt anchor text, linking of
pages and hot spots. We also learnt how to insert pictures.
Soon it was time to go home. We all went home.

3rd August 2002

Today, Miss Loh told Jenna to use SiteCentral as Macromedia
DreamWeaver was very complicated. That day, Jenna arrived
earlier than Miss Loh. So she waited for Miss Loh to arrive.
When she arrived, Jenna and Estella went to Lab three to
take the SiteCentral disc. It took a while to install SiteCentral.
After it was installed, Jenna And Estella started to
design the website.
At first, Estella had forgotten how to use SiteCentral.
After teaching her some basic steps, Jenna and Estella got to
work.

17th August 2002

Today, only the Researchers the Journalist and the constructor
are coming. The Primary 5 are so noisy they sound like the
people working in the market.Miss Loh brought back some
potato chips for us to eat.Then she left us and went back to
her pupils oral.Ten Zhi Yang built a helicopter to play. He kept
on playing the invention he invented. After about two hours Miss
Loh came back again this time she brought back chicken wings.
We rushed out to take a piece of chicken wing. Jenna did not
get any chicken wing because she came out late. Miss Loh even
brought back grapes for us to eat.
